I am sucking on an orange Dum Dums now. I haven't had one for a long time. It's so tiny. They really downsized them. I love orange.

The sucker didn't shrink, you just got bigger since you were a kid.
I'm a cream soda fan myself.

Was going to say that...
Although I do remember some sort of sucker that was a similar "ringed globe" shape but significantly larger. Like ping-pong ball size.

Tootsie Pop with Tootsie Roll in the center?

Naw, I've had them as an adult. They have shrunk.

$kay, I think you just grew up.
Our kids get them at the doctor and at the bank, and I haven't notice them get smaller in the last 8-9 years...
Then again, I feel like they downsized Twinkies, too, so who knows?

I wonder if they come in two sizes? I got mine at a restaurant.

As a Dum Dum pop fan, Grape and Butterscotch are my go to flavors. They are just small enough that it is impossible to have just one.
When I was much younger, I saved the wrappers and never stopped. I believe I have close to 800-1000 wrappers.

As others have said, the sucker isn't smaller, your head is bigger. It's all about perspective. Those are the after-haircut treat of choice. On a personal note, I'm more of a cherry Tootsie-Pop kind of guy. The Blow-Pops are okay, but the gum inside is terrible.

Wow..........that's a lot of Dum Dums!

Did you just call me a big head? ;D
I love orange and cherry Tootsie Pops.

You may be right - seems like they make a Skittle-sized one, too.
Google?
No good answer, but I found this! http://www.dumdumpops.com/

Ttyymmnn said they haven't shrunk but my head got bigger. I asked him if he just called me a big head.

You could always eat three at once. Also cherry is the best, followed closely by blue raspberry.

I'll ask the doctor next time we go, see if I can try one.
I thought bacon dipped in chocolate sounded disgusting until a friend that owns a chocolates store insisted I try it. It's easily 10 times better than sea-salted caramels.
Then again, it might be completely disgusting. I'll let you know if I ever get the chance. But I'm definitely not ORDERING one just to try it.

I had to add the "since you were a kid" part in case you took it wrong.

Cherry and orange are my two favorites.

Sometime I have to take my kids to the Dum-Dum museum (yes, there is a museum to Dum-Dums). The company, Spangler Candy, is headquartered in Byran, OH, about 70 miles west of Toledo. It is also, oddly enough, the headquarters of Ohio Art, which brings you the Etch-A-Sketch.

I once had at a high-end restaurant a chocolate cake pudding type dessert covered with chocolate syrup and beside it was a small pile of chopped bacon. It was absolutely delicious. Earlier this year I heard a radio commercial by a candy store in my small town advertising chocolate-dipped bacon. I bought a half dozen of them. I ate one.............they were terrible. I think it might have been crappy bacon.

Whenever I take Bug to the bank with me, they always give her root beer DumDum(s). They know her as "the root beer girl", and she never has to say anything. When I go through the drive-through with the Seven, there's always a root beer sucker in the canister for her.

How neat is that! A friend of mine has a poodle mix and will only lick butterscotch ones.
